What do you get when you combine a beautiful city boasting iconic landmarks, colourful light displays and music that gets your feet tapping, hands clapping and body shaking? The answer: Vivid Festival.

What exactly is Vivid Festival?

As Australia approaches its cooler months towards the end of May, Sydney heats things up with this annual festival of creativity, which consumes central Sydney, including some of the city's most iconinc landmarks and buildings. Vivid Festival is an awe-inspiring celebration of lights, music and creative ideas showcased over a period of 18 days.

The Festival kicks off with a big bang on the 25th May. From 6pm-midnight every night, see the famous white sails of The Sydney Opera House will be illuminated with striking colours and light patterns - definitely guaranteed to be a show stopper.

Large 3D light projections will also beam over skyscrapers and buildings from Circular Quay, The Rocks, Walsh Bay and Dawes Point. And the best place to see all this from? The highest points in the city, of course - the Sydney Tower Eye Observation Deck, at 250m high, or SKYWALK, at 268m high.
